Terms of Service

RunTaste learns your taste in running shoes from the shoes you add and rate, and suggests other shoes that may suit you. It is a discovery and guidance tool for runners.

Recommendations are opinions generated from your input and our shoe data. They are not medical, orthopaedic, coaching or professional advice. Shoe choice affects comfort and injury risk, so use your own judgement and talk to a qualified professional if you have pain, injuries or specific medical needs.

RunTaste is in an early phase. Parts of the shoe catalogue, review summaries and articles shown in the app are written or compiled by us for illustration while we build out real data, and are marked as such where they appear. Specifications, prices, weights and availability may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Always check with the brand or retailer before buying.

We do not sell shoes and we are not party to any purchase you make elsewhere. Brand and model names belong to their owners and are used to describe products only.

• You need an account to use RunTaste. Give a valid email address and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts on someone else's behalf without their permission.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. That removes your shoes, ratings, preferences and usage data.

Please don't:

• scrape, copy or resell the service or its content in bulk;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or other accounts;
• submit content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringes someone's rights;
• use the service to build a competing dataset or product.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why when we can.

The shoes, ratings, notes and preferences you add stay yours. You give Samedia AS permission to store and process them so we can run the service and generate your recommendations. We may use aggregated, de-identified patterns — for example how a shoe is generally rated — to improve recommendations for everyone. We do not publish your personal data or sell it.

RunTaste is provided as-is and as-available. Features may change, break or disappear while the product develops, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that recommendations will suit you.

To the extent permitted by law, Samedia AS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or purchases you make based on a recommendation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law, including liability for gross negligence or intent, or your statutory consumer rights.

We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change matters to you, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use RunTaste after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes belong to the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the agreed venue unless mandatory consumer rules give you another option.
